I love the time between Holy Week and Pentecost; after
journeying through the desert of Lent, to enter into all the events of Holy
Thursday, Good Friday, Holy Saturday and finally to experience the joy of
Easter Sunday, the joy of celebrating Jesus’ resurrection (and the joy of
being able to proclaim ‘Alleluia’ again).
But that’s not all! To
then embark on a journey of promise for 50 days in anticipation of
the outpouring of the Holy Spirit is another amazing time!

At a recent gathering of leaders, a prophetic word
was given concerning our mission as Christians.
The work that WWCCR is engaged in, indeed the work of the whole
Church, is God’s work to bring salvation to the world.
Our vision and our expectations need to be expanded to understand
the importance of this work.
The prophetic word was: “This is the time, God is going to do a work…our
vision should not be limited - His reach extends through time to the
Garden of Eden, and to the very borders of the fires of Hell - to redeem
everyone.”

An Invitation to a Relationship
A Life in the Spirit Testimony by Diana McDevitt
During his homily, our pastor, Fr. Jim Northrop, was telling me once
more that I needed a personal relationship with Jesus. Didn’t
I have that in the Eucharist? How did that fly with being Catholic?
It was the fall of 2011 and Fr. Jim was encouraging us to attend the
Life in the Spirit Seminar in the parish. Though I didn’t
really know what to expect, I decided to sign up.
The seminar was a straightforward set of teachings on faith. Each
lesson was followed with group discussion. The music at the seminar
sounded more like my friend’s churches – more personal (more
guitars). And, sometime
in the seminar, I began to know that I wanted, needed something

PENTECOST 2013 IN ROME
One of the great events in the Year of Faith
will be the Day for the Ecclesial Movements with the Holy Father,
which will take place on 18 and 19 May 2013 at St Peter’s Square,
Rome (Italy). We eagerly await the inspiration and encouragement of
Pope Francis as he addresses the Renewal and the other Movements and
