Holy Spirit Seminar Resources

Holy Spirit Seminars have always been a useful tool in charismatic renewal. These seminars offer opportunities to hear the gospel and the important role of Holy Spirit in our lives. We want to encourage parishes and prayer groups to consider offering a seminar in your area.

But how do you get started? What resources do you need? The following are the program’s descriptions offered from the book or informational flyer.

The New Life in the Spirit Seminars: Team Manual is a suitable evangelistic tool to introduce people to a fuller experience of life in the Spirit. It explores the intimate relationship between “baptism in the Holy Spirit” and the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist. It brings together important insights from Fanning the Flame, the Catechism of the Catholic Church and the restoration of the RCIA. The seven sessions include God’s Love, Salvation, New Life, Receiving God’s Gift, Praying for Baptism in the Holy Spirit, Growth, and Transformation in Christ.

Born of the Spirit Seminar. Published by WWCCR, this is a seminar for introducing newcomers to baptism in the Spirit within the context of Catholic spirituality. It seeks to provide participants with the opportunity to deepen their relationship with the Lord and the Church through experiencing the power of the Spirit. The format uses teaching presentations, sharing groups, prayer experiences and sponsors to focus on the experiential aspect of baptism in the Spirit and its relationship to Catholic spirituality and the sacraments. The five sessions include The Kingdom of God, The Love of the Father, The Healing Touch of God, The Power of the Spirit and The Baptism in the Spirit.

Alive In the Spirit Growth Seminar is a spiritual growth seminar providing foundational teaching for Catholic charismatic groups. Designed as a follow-up for Born of the Spirit or other charismatic initiation seminars, this program offers five sessions on important topics for Catholic charismatics: The Gifts of the Spirit, The Word of God, The Mind of Christ, The Body of Christ, and The Call to Proclaim.
