Dear Sisters in the
Holy Spirit of God,
Our heartfelt
greetings to each one of you. Over the last 4 years we have gone on the journey
of the heart.
In
2007 we
put on the Armor of God. Fr. Jim Northrop was our priest that year. With the
shield of faith and the belt of righteousness and the sword of truth, we
celebrated the many ways that we grow strong in the Lord. We wrote a poem about
the Eucharist and put them together
in a booklet.
In
2008 we
were clay in the Potter’s hand. Pat King led us through the process of pushing
and pounding; firing and painting and baking, until we were beautiful teacups
for the glory of God.
In
2009 Laura Prato and Kristen Strauss showed us
how Trusting in the Lord with all our hearts was sometimes very difficult but
always fruitful. We made valentines for Jesus as we fell in love all over again
with Our Lord and Savior.
In
2010 we
traveled down the narrow road that leads to life. Caroline Gambale-Dirkes warned
us about Satan’s plan and encouraged us about God’s plan for each of us. We were
led down the path of healing and consequent joy. We went through the narrow gate
to Jesus.
Every year God comes
to us in such powerful ways. He loves us so much and He wants to give us
everything. So, are we prepared for our next adventure in
2011? It
is time to spread our wings and fly with the Holy Spirit. It is time to discover
and rediscover the gifts that have been given to us and learn how to use those
gifts for the good of The Body of Christ. Fr. Jim Northrop will take us on this
journey. He will invite the Holy Spirit to come and refresh, stir up and
enkindle our hearts to proclaim the good news and to commit to the service God
intended for us from the beginning of time. So I hope you will be with us this
year as we continue to unfold the perfect plan of God; not only for us as
individuals but for our Church, our community and for the world. Revival begins
in each heart, one person at a time.
“The hour is coming, and is now here, when true worshippers will worship
the Father in Spirit and truth; and indeed the Father seeks such people to
worship him. God is Spirit, and those who
worship him must worship in Spirit and truth.”
John 4:23-24
We are holding you
and your families in prayer until we meet again at that beautiful place on the
water.
